Developmental Communication Disorders
Our therapists are experienced in working with individuals with conditions such as Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, and developmental delays. We address a range of needs including alternative/augmentative communication, receptive/expressive language skills, and pragmatics. Medicare and Non-Medicare patients (we accept Medicaid and most commercial insurances) from these developmental populations are welcome, with our therapists ensuring personalized care and attention.
Aphasia
Following strokes or traumatic brain injuries, individuals may experience aphasia, impacting their ability to comprehend and express language. Our team specializes in supporting clients with word-finding difficulties and language challenges, guiding them through personalized therapy programs to regain communication skills.
Cognitive Linguistic & Executive Functioning Skills
From traumatic brain injuries to early dementia, cognitive-linguistic challenges can significantly impact daily life. We focus on enhancing memory, attention, and organization skills, empowering individuals to navigate daily tasks with confidence and clarity.
Fluency Difficulties
Stuttering, cluttering, and stammering can present unique challenges in communication. Our therapists employ evidence-based techniques to support fluency development, helping clients communicate smoothly and confidently.
Dysarthria/Motor Speech Disorders
Stroke survivors and others may experience slurred speech or difficulty with motor speech control. Our therapists offer targeted interventions to improve articulation and intelligibility, enhancing communication effectiveness and confidence.
Voice Concerns
Vocal nodules, hoarseness, and changes in volume can affect communication and quality of life. Our therapists collaborate closely with otolaryngologists to ensure comprehensive care, providing strategies to address voice concerns. We are proud to support individuals with conditions such as Parkinson's disease.
