Executive Functioning Treatment

Executive Functioning skills are the cognitive basis for planning, organizing, initiating, and following through with functional tasks. These skills are crucial for individuals to be successful in their daily lives. Often, we see that as children reach third grade and beyond, where more and more independence and initiation of skills is expected, increased deficits in executive functioning become evident. Areas of Executive Functioning include attention, working memory, functional problem solving, sequencing, planning, flexibility, inhibition, time management, metacognition, and perseverance. These skills are addressed at our facility in both individual and group service settings.
